Equifest 2010

Floreat Yaffle (Sec A gelding) went to Equifest as his second ever ridden show after his 'debut' at Cranleigh recently. He took part in lead rein, first ridden and finally Concours d'Elegance (pictured left). He was an absolute saint in all his classes and finished off the weekend winning the Conours d'Elegance class.

Also at Equifest was Floreat Creme Chantilly (produced by Leisl Burt) who was 2nd in the Welsh A 2/3yr old class. She is a 3yr old filly by Flydon Henadur ex Forlan Welsh Cream.

Floreat Quintessa at Chertsey Show

Floreat Quintessa was 1st & M&M Ridden Champion at the recent Chertsey Show.

She is produced and ridden by Katherine McGrail who is doing a great job with her. She was only broken on earlier this year and has been brought on slowly.

She has also started jumping at home and is showing a real talent for it.

Floreat Creme de Cassis at NPS Champs

Cassi had a great couple of days at the NPS Champs this year coming 3rd in Novice Junior M&M Ridden on first day, and 3rd in Picton Finals today.

The Junior ridden class had the top 10 through to the evening performance and she performed really well.  Unfortunately just missing out today on going through again to evening performance by one position!

Many thanks and congrats to all the team involved in all their efforts at the show - Penny, Catherine, Jack, Katherine etc!

Floreat Yaffle - Cranleigh Show

Floreat Yaffle (photo by Lexy Page)
Floreat Yaffle was sold as a 3yr old to a local family. He went to his first show under saddle today at Craneligh Show and competed in two lead rein classes. He was beautifully behaved and ended up 2nd in Lead Rein pony and 4th in PUK M&M lead rein pony in two very strong classes. An excellent start to his ridden showing career!

Many congrats to his owner Caroline Winser and the super little jockey Lucy.

We wish them both Good Luck at Equifest.

Kent County

Floreat Creme Chantilly (3yr old A filly) went to Kent County and was placed 3rd in a strong class.

SEWPCA Summer Show

We took 2 of the youngsters to SEWPCA show:
* Floreat Heart of Stone (Sec D yearling colt)
* Floreat Creme Chantilly (Sec A 3yr old filly).

It was Heart of Stone's first ever show and he was a little shell shocked! But was very well behaved and finished 3rd in his class.

Tessa - first show under saddle

Tessa (F. Quintessa, 5yr old mare) was recently loaned out to Katherine McGrall to be broken and brought out under saddle. She is coming along really well, and recently went to her first show under saddle. She was really well behaved and ended up 2nd in a large class. Well done to Tessa & Katherine!

She has also recently taken part in dressage competition scoring over 70% and qualifying for Sunshine championship.

Cassi ridden results

Cassi (Floreat Creme de Cassis) has been going from strength to strength at her loan home in all types of classes with selection of jockeys! At NCPA Cheshire show she had an amazing show with following results: 1st novice LR, 1st Open LR and champ and 1st Novice ridden ..... and going on to be Supreme of Show !!!

Also recently at BSPS winter champs she had some great results including:
7th - M&M Restricted First Ridden
4th - M&M Open Lead Rein
4th - M&M Open First Ridden

Well done and many thanks to Penny & Catherine Hudson, Olivia Brown, Jack (her lead rein jockey) and rest of the team for doing a super job with her.

Late season news

Sadly Leo came home from RWAS with the circulating respiratory bug and so missed both the Welsh Nat Chs and NPS Chs, at both of which he was due to contest finals he had qualified for. Equifest was next, where on three conseuctuve days he was third, first and first and Champion. Next was HOYS, where he did a fantastic show which prompted a big round of applause and ended up 4th. In the meantime, Cassi went to the Home Counties Show and qualified for the Picton Final 2010 and was Res Novice Ch, much to my delight. She has now departed to a super loan home for a ridden career and I look forward to seeing her out next year.
