Surrey County Show results

The home bred mare Floreat Creme de Cassis did it again, she was 1st in her class (Sec A 4 yrs & over) and went on to be Reserve A Champion. And 2nd to her in her class was another Floreat bred pony, the 4yr old gelding Floreat Yaffle who was sold locally. Cassi was beaten in championship by Lexy's yearling filly Amilas Cassiopeia who won the youngstock class. So it was a very good day all round at our own local county show.

Floreat Dandelion 2nd at Windsor

Floreat Dandelion, the Welsh D stallion, was today 2nd in his first Olympia qualifier at Royal Windsor Horse Show. There was a very high standard in all the classes and we really enjoyed watching both his class and most of the others. He is pictured here in the championship, where he really enjoyed the atmosphere and did a super gallop, as you can see on video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2khQd-CWK7Y

Sec D foal born by Floreat Dandelion

The first of the two babies due by Floreat Dandelion has been born today, a huge big dun colt. And two small white socks at the back and a star, just like his mum ! He is out of Vinans Calon who was bought at the Cob Sales in 2007.

First foal born - Sec A filly

Yesterday while we were watching Badminton - beautiful dark grey filly with blaze and two whites behind, which appear to be the stallions "default" markings, by Flydon Henadur ex Flydon Cadw Cyfrenig. She had rivers of wax last night, and as a first foaler I put her on her own in the little paddock next to the one where the other two mares were, expecting her to foal overnight. No, not happy, she spent all night long walking round and round it and not foaling so I put her back in the big one with the others and hey presto, husband was out in the garden with the dog and came to bang on the window for Lexy and I to come and see.
