SEWPCA Stud Judging competition 2008

I don't do that much in-hand showing, but always enjoy the biannual stud judging - this year judged by Jill Williams of Glebedale Stud. Sadly I was away and missed the judging but my daughter Lexy and friend Ann Fisher deputised for me and obviously did a very good job as I was very pleased to come back to some good results. Forlan Welsh Cream and her two daughters F. Creme de Cassis and F. Creme Chantilly won their class and were overall Ch Sec A group. F. Prima Donna, F. Evadne and F. Ariadne, all filly foals by Flydon Henadur, won the class for 3 Sec As by the same stallion/out of the same mare. As a whole, the stud was second overall (to Danaway) in the large studs class, and the Ds were only beaten by the Danaway Ds all the way through the competition - I'm pleased with that as I only have a few and they are bred specifically to be ridden, not aimed at in-hand showing.

New additions to the stud

Polaris Harebell by Nerwen Peledryn ex Cledwen Ceiwen, the most beautiful mare and dam to my stallion Flydon Henadur. Tried to buy her for years and finally they've let me have her, now that they have three of her offspring to keep. She has only been shown once - 4th RWAS.

Cwmsarah Arwr, chesnut colt foal by Nantdywyll Barcud ap Bargen out of Knolton Gwenan, who hopefully will be a future stud stallion.

Foals expected 2009

Penclose Glain x Floreat Dandelion
